Production Process of Ballpoint Pen Assembly Equipment

The production process of ballpoint pen assembly equipment consists of several key steps. Initially, components such as pen barrels, caps, ink refills, and ballpoint tips are manufactured. Pen barrels and caps are formed via injection molding using plastics like polypropylene, while ballpoint tips, often made of tungsten carbide or stainless steel, are precision - machined through stamping and grinding. Ink refills are filled with viscous ballpoint ink and sealed at both ends.

During assembly, automated conveyors and robotic arms feed and position parts accurately. First, ink refills are inserted into pen barrels. Then, the ballpoint tips are firmly attached, often with a press - fitting process to ensure smooth ink flow. Caps are added last, sometimes with additional seals to prevent drying.

Finally, assembled pens undergo strict quality control. Machines test writing smoothness, ink flow consistency, and tip durability. Visual inspections detect surface flaws. Passed products are packaged into boxes or blister packs for distribution.
